For me, being Live enabled would make the game that much better.

In this day and age, it's almost impossible for a game, let alone an RTS not to have online play. If it didn't have online then the game wouldn't have as long a life span as it would with online

Great, and I'm sure some non-Halo fans would buy it simply for it's Live capabilities too.

I'm sure many people would expect a 360 game of this type to be playable online.

Personally I'd like to see System Link added too. Its something thats overlooked on a lot of 360 games. Halo had it, so fingers crossed Halo Wars does too!

Every single game for the Xbox 360 is Live Enabled.

I am absolutely shure that the ghame will have multiplayer over Live. I would be pleased, if they could cook up some sort of split-screen, or even Live co-op thing where both players would be controlling a number of troops. I know that the splitscreen sounds absolutely stupid, but my best friend is a huge Halo fan, but he does not have an Xbox 360, or Live. We have played trough both Halos dozens of times in split-screen, and i would like Ensemble to pay triute to the whole Halo split-screen history.

What about those without live?

The game would last until halo 3 i'm sure if they made it compatible with live.  of course, the game has to be good too, and i know it will be

Halo 3 is Bungie's last game.

Halo Wars is Ensemble's first Halo game. I have a feeling there will be another as the story events of the Halo universe beg to be fleshed out. Kinda like Brood War's strory continued that of Starcraft.

 

As for Live functionality, there is NO WAY an RTS could come out on the 360 and not feature multiplay support over Live. It'd be forgotten in a week, even if it has the Halo name next to it.
