    Overcharge?

    So I've realised with lots of contemplation:

    Should the grunts and jackals have an overcharge feature for the plasma pistols, if so, should they.

    - have it as a unit power >

    It may be the whole squad which has plasma pistols that overcharge and shoot... so about five (five grunts/jackals) big superheated blobs of plasma coming at you is going to be quite damaging and utmost kill one enemy instantly, and damage the others health dramatically.

    New ideas >

    Only one out of the squad overcharges their plasma pistol < Up for debate.

    Cool down period of one minute and thirty seconds < Up for debate.

    The overcharge can disable vehicles for a period of forty seconds or more < Up for debate.

    Instead of only draining the health dramatically from your enemy who is unlucky enough to get hit by an overcharge, they could get knocked unconscious for five seconds. So they should drop limp to the ground and stay there for about five or more seconds then rise back up wobbly. Different infantry units would be effected for different spans of time, such as, it wouldn't knock out a hunter, and a jackal with the shield up would only get his shield knocked out, not himself. The elites would stay unconscious for less time then that of a grunt or jackal.

    Only for the Jackals. They're the only ones who do it anyways.

    Grunts should throw Grenades.

    they should be able to be suicides.....

    you know, do that thing in Halo 3 where they ingnite 2 in their hands and run toward you

    yeah, grunts power should be to throw lots of grenades

    but the jackals were the only ones to overcharge the pistol

        Maybe a higher form of grunt, like a better trained grunt could, but I would like to build on the grenades idea.

    The grunts have the ability to form up behind a unit and as soon as an enemy comes in range, they form up behind an ally, and throw grenades, this has probably been brought up, bu I'm just throwing it out there again.

    The plasma pistols wouldnt work if they are overcharged would they Sparhawk. How would you overcharge them anyway

    Okay then: 

    Jackals should be able to overcharge the plasma pistol as a unit power whilst the grunts instead have a throw grenade power.

    Good ideas people.

    No i dont understand that part about overcharging plasma pistols lol. I havent really played Halo 1 very much to know. Ive played Halo 2 and 3 a bit though. You know more than i do

    Take a plasma pistol. Press the trigger for a while. Release the huge ball of energy. That's overcharge.
