I NEVER post on forums because people usaully ask good questions.....  But no one has asked why there is more than one master chief in the trailer.  I know the typical soldier has different armor but just before the trailer cuts to "the dramatic darkness" you clearly see 5 "master chief armored soldiers".  Is this foreshadowing that in halo you will be able to play multiplayer as you can in splinter cell?  Also when the team lead says this is yada yada Spartan group or whatever, the voice clearly isnt master chief. couldnt this also be an indicator that the game is going to be online multiplayer co-op, since everyone would want to be mater chief.  Closing thoughts maybe they just found some extra armor lying around like master chief's that they didnt have in parts 1 and 2.  OR  the ship that was carrying the all the bioengineered enhanced "master chiefs" made it or they just cooked some more up.  Although i cant really remember the plot line that explains why master chief is such a badass, so if i am wrong feel free to correct me.....  which i know you would anyways......

do you know nothing about Halo.... Masterchief was a SPARTAN, they were about 40 of them all roung the galaxy.

This is THEIR story most likely. I mean theirs would be the most action packed of any of the humans, that and more of em survived up until reach than any other human battalion.

yeah i just clicked the post above this and read that this was pre halo.......   that explains all the extra "master chiefs"   but is this correct.   where does it say that this is a prequel....   I saw another clip that showed master chief talking to ....  whatever that hot computer chicks name is that is always talking in his ear..    some one tell me where they found out it is a prequel

OUTtheWAZOO, I suggest you read the story behind the Halo universe, it's a read that's worthwile.

Didn't you see the correlation when the SPARTAN said "SPARTAN team Omega..."  and when Master Chief in the conclusion of Halo 2 said, "SPARTAN 117..."?

 Even during our good Master Chief's adventure it is plausible that other SPARTANS are still in operation in various locations throughout the sector.

There were around 30+ SPARTANs are one time. Some died and some vanished before the start of the HALO 1 game.

Actually there were 39 or so when the training was complete out of the 170 some that started... many died in the augmenting and many became deforemed from that same augmenting

No there were 70 before the augmentation, about half of them never survived.
