Surrouding the scarab with Cobras/Assault Beam Hunters often seems to work. The scarab turns very slowly, so you can use that to your advantage. And if the enemy spams engineers to heal the scarab, target the engineers first. With leader powers if neccessary.

IMO, Vulture's barrage should be powered down instead and their health increased. Seriously, its ridiculous having a so-called super unit that can be cut in half by an upgraded cleansing beam in seconds. And they shouldn't be able to be stasis'd. As with the divine absolution PoR.
