i would say from the color of the blast it could almost be a covie carbine, maybe a prototype not mentioned in halo 1 or 2??? just my two cents...  

yeah i think it would be badass in the game to have a scene with the spartans who are unable to figh in like a council or something...maybe with there mjonir armor off????
